We started the month of April with a record high temp of 84
degrees in the Twin Cities. It had to get cooler after that! Two days later we
had a high of only 43 degrees…there were probably a few confused robins out
there. Despite some wild temperature swings, the average temperature for April was 2.2 degrees above normal in the Twin Cities.
Looking ahead, the May
temperature outlook from the Climate Prediction Center of the National Weather Service shows
equal chances of above normal and below normal temperatures over most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin:
This is a great time
of year! Our average high temperature in the Twin Cities rises from 65 degrees
on May 1st to 74 degrees on May 31st.
